8-)As Ivan has said UKSV is still going on and is as strong if not stronger now. There may have been a few changes with commitee etc. but bear with it the web will be back and there is no need to change club membership.

hi john sorry to hear you still feel that uksv is going i dont know who has said what to you but the club as i said b4 is growing. you should have a local rep that you can get in touch with to voice your concerns, if not we will allways welcome new reps, but you will find it is much easier for people to believe rumours/gossip/citiisims than to actually do something about it and become an active member to help a club, no matter what club it is. i would be the first to say it is a pain and it doesnt help the promotion of the club not to have a current up and running website, but again it takes a lot of someones personal time to do these things.but the website is not the only means of communication. for one thing if you are a club member, you should have a club mag with all commitee and reps contact numbers, give one a wring. i have a regular monthly meet for my area (kent)(obviously to far for you to come) my phone/contact number is in the mag allways be pleased to talk to you. as im shure would anty of the commitee members.

ive been a member of UKSK for 4 years, and in my experience the club is still going strong. but we could always do with more of the existing member joining us at the events and shows ,i suspect that people are begining to think its a small club because its always the same few members attending the shows

I joined UKSV last year, I attended the meeting along with the east Anglia rep, the website issue is the main reason I was there, as I understand it the old webmaster has left and until they agree a replacement there is nobody available to create a new website hence it is down. I would happily take on the website as long as a simple site is OK, I can produce and maintain a simple yet effective site, members could get up to date info, pictures can be displayed but I'm not tech enough for fancy stuff (I can maintain a forum if need be)
A new meeting place is needed as the old one had been revamped and was total unsuitable to hold a meeting at. once a new suitable venue is found a meeting will be arranged and these things can be sorted, in the mean time we have to be patient.
